UAVs are a hot topic in the security industry and are generating interest from both end users and integrators as tools to expand security operations. However, regulatory and environmental issues, among other factors, can limit how and when they are used by security personnel. This session will help those interested in using or offering UAV-based solutions to better understand Federal Aviation Administration restrictions regarding operating near airports, over crowds and at night. We will also discuss designing drone solutions with the right hardware, software and visible and thermal imagers for optimal performance in various applications. Join this session as we demystify using drones in security applications and give you hands-on considerations and best practices for deployment in oil and gas refineries, bridges and other critical infrastructure sites.
