Beginning with a single race in Hawai`i, The IRONMAN Group has grown to operate a global endurance sport portfolio with more than 230 triathlon, road running, trail running, cycling and mountain biking events across 57 countries, with one million participants each year.

Learning Objectives:
1. Discuss current safety and security challenges for managing and securing mass participatory outdoor events.
2. Identify the technologies utilized by the race operations team and within the command center.
3. Review real-life use cases leveraging technology as a life safety measure and in threat response.
