Over the past five years the biometrics market has evolved at an incredible pace, with biometric authentication and identification technology rising from relative obscurity into mainstream usage across myriad vertical markets. The wave of biometric deployments for identity and access management in enterprise, border control, financial services and consumer devices has greatly outpaced the speed of regulation. But legislation is catching up, creating a climate of controversy and conflict around biometric solutions. So, it’s more important than ever before to understand the best practices around implementing and using biometrics systems in the workplace.
