Being a Woman Owned Business Owner in the Security Industry is an Advantage, not a Disadvantage

Starting your own business is a daunting task and even more so when a woman tries to enter what has been traditionally seen as a male dominated business area.  This panel of successful woman owned security business owners consisting of a security supplier, security integrator, security recruitment firm and a government security contracting consultant share what led them to starting their businesses and the advantage of being a woman in the security industry. They will discuss their experiences, challenges, and opportunities as women owned business owners, offering words of wisdom, encouragement and tips to other entrepreneurs and companies interested in the benefits of diversification of their workforce and strong potential business partners.

Learning Objectives:
1. Hear how presenter career paths that led to starting a business in the security industry.
2. Determine why diversity in the workplace matters.
3. Capitalize on your traits in the workplace (i.e. collaboration, sharing, sense of belonging)
