The Great Sensor Debate: The Truth about Smart Cities, from Success to the Dark Side of Automation

In a classic debate format, the panel team will argue statements between IoT and smart city program practitioners, innovation managers, cyber subject matter experts and sensor solution providers. Questions from the audience will be taken on each debate question or motion, with each question answered by any panelist who wishes to speak. All statements, responses and questions are timed.

Debate Topic 1: Can data collection and analytics help cities deliver the right experience and be safe, sustainable and secure?
Debate Topic 2: Where will smart city sensors succeed? What is more important, integration or connectivity? Debate Topic 3: The city’s main smart cognitive sensor data collection platform has just failed. How will your sensors now work and sustain city operations?

Learning Outcomes:
1.  Describe how is data best carried from device to user from an operational and cyber resilience perspective.
2. Determine how to determine the most resilient, useful, and sustainable array of smart city sensors, cognitive platform.
