About

Nathan Brown serves as the Administration Major at the University of Kentucky Police Department (UKPD).  In this role he provides leadership and oversight for the Crisis Management and Preparedness, Support Services, UKPD Tech Division, and Finance and Administration sections of the department.  For the last seven years he has worked as the UKPD project coordinator for department capital projects to include the integration and installation of the UK Central Security System, the development of the UKPD Technology Division, and the installation of the UK Police Communications Center.

Nathan holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Kentucky Martin School of Public Policy and Administration, a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Eastern Kentucky University, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (243).  He is an active member in the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), Criminal Justice Executive Development Leadership Association (CJEDLA), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy Associates (FBINAA).
