ISC Offers A Positive Barometer of the Health of the Security Industry

LAS VEGAS, NV - April 3, 2014 - Following a second Grand Opening Ceremony this morning, attendees at ISC West, sponsored by SIA once again packed the aisles, fanning out to see and learn about the thousands of products and make the most of their show experience. Over the course of the day, they kept coming. Increase in attendance and technology introductions is a true barometer of the heath of the security market.

On the ISC West show floor, manufacturers have been offering informative demos and a wealth of opportunities for attendees to discuss cutting-edge products and technologies with the companies' technical and engineering experts and for security professionals to share challenges and future needs for new product development potential.

Over the show's first two days, exhibitors have been kept on their toes talking with attendees, some of whom may be prospective customers and others who came to ISC West on a fact-finding mission. Feedback on the show has been incredibly positive.

"Throughout the show, the Bosch booth has been packed with people looking to learn how we can help them improve security and grow their businesses," said Daniel Gundlach, vice president of marketing - North America, for Bosch Security Systems. "The first-day traffic was absolutely outstanding. Not only was the Allegion management appreciative, but so too were our over 20 alliance partners who are also exhibiting in our booth," said Joy Phillips, trade show and event manager for Allegion.

"There has been a lot of foot traffic at the show, and more importantly, the quality of this year's ISC West attendees has been incredible. From what we're seeing, the interest is very clearly on IP," said Janet Fenner, senior marketing group manager for Samsung Techwin America.

The SIA Education@ISC conference, which saw record attendance this year, wrapped up its third and final day on Thursday.

Thursday morning's Security 5K/2K Run/Walk, held annually on the second day of ISC West, raised $90,000 to support Mission 500, an organization that supports children and communities in crisis. Several other events held during the show raised an additional $20,000, bringing that total to $110,000.
